Actor Manoj Kumar directed and acted in this 1967 film. It can also be touted as the film that kick-started Manoj Kumar’s ‘Mr Bharat’ persona and his brand of patriotism. The song, Mere Desh Ki Dharti... from the superhit film is played till date.

This 1967 crime thriller starring Dev Anand and Vyjayantimala in the lead roles was a huge hit at the box office. It became the sixth highest grossing film of the year. Following the success, the film was screened at many film festivals.
