Although she is known to be a thorough professional, Deepika Padukone’s health recently played havoc with her work schedule. The actor, who seems to have pushed herself a bit too much, fell ill over the weekend due to exhaustion.

As a result, her professional commitments had to be rescheduled. “Last week, Deepika worked for 30 hours straight.

After shooting for Farah’s film for 16 odd hours, she rushed to a dance performance she had at an award function,” says a source. Not only did she perform at the event, but she also went through a rehearsal with the team before she hit the stage. The source adds, “She was working till late on Friday (February 14) when she almost fainted. After resting for a bit, when she woke up, she had a high fever and was feeling extremely weak.” Her doctor, who rushed to see her the next day, has advised her complete bed rest for a few days.

The actor’s spokesperson confirmed the news.
