Raveena bagged the award in the 'Special Recognition' category, and is amazed to have received the honour. Around 270 countries participated at the JIFF.

Raveena says, "When I was offered the film, Sudipto (Chattopadhyaya, director) clearly told me that this was a movie for festivals. The script was different and fabulous, and when I saw the final product, I was happy. I've played a dark and intense role, unlike anything I've done before." The actor further points out that her character was the complete contrast of a conventional heroine.

Raveena has also won awards at the Chicago South Asian film Festival, 7 Island International Film Festival and Houston Bollywood Film Festival. Ask her whether she was skeptical about doing the film since she comes from a commercial background and she says, "I've gone beyond that. I come from an era where I've seen platinum jubilees, which one doesn't see anymore. Mohra (1994) ran for 75 weeks. Doing this excites me. I can now proudly say that my films have gone for reputed festivals as well."
