Don’t want to miss out on Ziaan’s growing up days: Boman Irani on grandson

Bollywood actor Boman Irani, who recently became a grandfather, says he doesn’t want to “miss out” on his grandchild’s growing up years.

On July 3, Boman Irani’s son Danesh and daughter-in-law Reah became proud parents to baby boy Ziaan. The Bollywood actor took to Twitter to announce the news, and soon his timeline was flooded with congratulatory messages from his friends and family members.

“There’s a lot of excitement in the family. We have people visiting us and everyone’s together. It’s such a happy time,” says Boman.

The newly-turned grandfather says he makes sure he spends enough time with Ziaan no matter how busy he is. “We can always say we are busy, but I don’t want to. I don’t want to miss out on the days when he is growing up,” says the 56-year-old. The actor also adds that he will not be over-strict with his grandson. “As a grandfather, I might bring in the old-world view of life at some point. But I’m not into any kind of disciplining. I find that irritating,” he says.
