The film in question is the much talked about

, that's being directed by Kanan Iyer. Emraan took his 'debut shot' as a director while shooting Kanan's cameo for the film. Ironically,

will mark Kanan's debut as a director as well as an actor. Kanan said that since he decided to do a small role in the film just for fun, he wanted someone else to direct him. And since Emraan was around, he immediately stepped up and was game to do the needful. Even though the two shot for over an hour, the final scene will ultimately be less than a minute in the film! Kanan, who plays a scientist giving a lecture to school students, said that he is aware of the fact that he is not an actor and that's why he needed an outsider to tell him if his shot worked or needed more work. And it is where Emraan stepped in and guided him through the scene and made sure that he looked like a scientist. The duo, later worked on the look, dialogues and reactions.
