Shudh Desi Romance and Befikre star Vaani Kapoor celebrates her 30th birthday on Thursday. The actor is known for her gorgeous looks and graceful charm and has made a name for herself with just two Bollywood movies.
Vaani spent her childhood in Delhi and did her bachelors in tourism before venturing into the world of modelling. She was later spotted by Yash Raj Films, who signed her in a three-film deal in 2013.
Her debut movie, Shuddh Desi Romance, saw her in the lead role with Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput. Vaani played a Tara, a confident young girl in the film. The film was met with great critical and audience reception and Vaani’s performance in the film got her the Best Female Debut Filmfare Award.
Vaani’s second project was a Telugu film, Aaha Kalyanam, a remake of Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh’s Band Baaja Baraat. The film did not do too well at the box office.
Then she starred opposite Ranveer Singh in Befikre in 2016. The colourful film about millennial romances received bad reviews and was a box office dud. However, Vaani hasn’t let that get in way of her confidence.
