Actor Tanishaa Mukerji has learnt how to filter negative criticism. “When someone criticises a film, I will not be affected by it. A film is a director’s medium and I can’t be controlling what he or the producer does with the film. As far as my performance is concerned, I know I work hard for it,” says Mukerji, who was last seen playing the role of a journalist in the film Anna in October. She adds, “As far as the critics are concerned, I have been criticised all my life and I don’t care.”
The 35-year-old actor started her Bollywood career with Popcorn Khao! Mast Ho Jao (2004) and went on to do films such as Neal N Nikki (2004) and Sarkar Raj(2008).
The actor believes that people who review her work with a positive intent help her to grow.
“At some level, I take positive criticism very well and I think it really helps you grow. An actor cannot live with or without criticism. Everyone wants to know how they have performed as an actor and which aspects does he or she need to work upon,” says Mukerji.

{{/usCountry}}Although her last release Anna didn’t fare very well at the box office, Mukerji is satisfied with her part.
“I created a good space in Anna and I was happy and my director was very happy with what I brought to the table,” she says.
