Deepa Sahi’s fascination for the Himalayas took a cool turn when she decided to shoot her maiden directorial venture as a road film in the region.

“Deepa came out with a thought that she would like to shoot a road film in the Himalayas, with newcomers, and that it will be a story on marriage along with the couple rediscovering each other. Not an easy task, but she has never taken the easy route,” grins Ketan Mehta, the film’s producer, who decided to go the whole way with her.

Apart from debutants, the film also has more well-known actors like Vinay Pathak, who braved a vertigo, and Riya Sen.

Anup Jalota and Mehta got together to aid Deepa in her wanderlust, and thus began Tere Mere Phere. “As a producer, your wings are clipped and as a director, you want to soar, not being shackled by budgets. And I found my dream producers,” grins Deepa.
