I knew Sushant won’t letch at me: Vaani Kapoor

Talking about kissing scene in Shuddh Desi Romance, Vaani Kapoor says, "For me, it’s not a big deal as long as the makers shoot it aesthetically and without vulgarity."

Although she appears confident and composed, newcomer Vaani Kapoor — who will soon make her Bollywood debut with Maneesh Sharma’s Shuddh Desi Romance (SDR) — admits that she is very nervous. She will star alongside Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra.

Even though SDR is her first film, Vaani hasn’t shied away from kissing on-screen. “For me, it’s not a big deal as long as the makers shoot it aesthetically and without vulgarity. And I knew Sushant won’t letch at me,” she jokes. “In almost every Hollywood film, people are shown kissing, so I don’t think we should make it a big deal. We need to change our mentality about it.”

The actor doesn’t mind skin show too. However, she says, “I don’t have a bikini body. I need to hit the gym before I flaunt a bikini. Or else, I would have been a Victoria’s Secret model.”

Talking about her co-stars, she says, “Sushant is very moody. Some days, he would chat and joke a lot and, on other days, he would keep to himself. The whole world knows Parineeti is quite talkative and friendly. We hardly interacted while shooting, so it was disappointing not to have cat fights,” she jokes.
