One may associate Suniel Shetty’s name with action but he is most excited about the grey characters he portrays. Shetty, who was first seen in a negative role in

(2004), will go gray for the third time in Anees Bazmee’s

No Problem

, which releases this Friday. “If it works, I would like to explore more similar roles,”says Shetty.

No Problem

, Shetty plays a master thief who robs diamonds but is looted by other thieves. “I look overpowering and menacing. At the same time, my character has a humorous side. That’s why I took up the challenge,” says Shetty. He also credits director Bazmee and his team of writers for balancing the anger and the comic timing of his character so well.

Talking about his fascination with antagonistic characters, the actor says, “I like playing gray characters. There is a whacked-out side of me in it, which is more fun. I prefer that rather than being a simple, straight, romantic hero.”
