The 13th IIFA Weekend kicked off with actor Shabana Azmi and Tamil thespian Kamal Hassan emphasising that the Bollywood extravaganza is widening its horizons to
provide a global platform to regional cinema as well.

“Indian cinema, like our culture, is not homogenous. So IIFA is gradually trying to provide a global platform to regional cinema as well. This year it’s South,” said Azmi.
