Salman is also seen waving to his fans in one of the pictures. The look reminds us of his superhit 2015 film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Rumours claim Salman will play a specially-abled man in the film.

The second schedule of Tubelight was supposed to begin in the Kashmir Valley, but the location was changed owing to current situation of unrest there. The team might go to Kashmir later this month to film more portions.

Earlier in August, director Kabir shared a picture from sets of Tubelight in Ladakh.

Tubelight also marks the Bollywood debut of Chinese star Zhu Zhu. Formerly a VJ, she has also worked with Hollywood A-listers such as Tom Hanks in Cloud Atlas (2012), and with Russell Crowe in The Man With The Iron Fists (2012).

As director Kabir Khan’s film goes on the floors, Zhu Zhu is confident that it is going to be “another amazing experience” for her. “I am thrilled to have this chance to work with Salman. I have seen his films, and I’m very charmed by his talent,” says the actor, adding that when she read the film’s script, she was “deeply touched by its spirit”.

“I am sure this is going to be another amazing experience in my career and in my life,” she says. Zhu Zhu, who also lent her voice to the character of Viper in the Chinese dubbed version of the hit film Kung Fu Panda 3, says she is “honoured” to be part of the Hindi film. “Kabir is not only a brilliant filmmaker, but he also always showcases humanity, love and the lives of ordinary people in his movies, which everyone in the world can relate to,” she says.

The 1962 war between China and India at the Sino-Indian border forms the backdrop of Tubelight. This is the third film where Kabir and Salman are working together.
