Inside Maheep Kapoor’s birthday party: Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor attend, Aishwarya Rai comes with Abhishek Bachchan

The birthday party of actor Sanjay Kapoor’s wife Maheep Kapoor was attended by Bollywood stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor.

Actor Sanjay Kapoor’s wedding was a major Bollywood affair with several A-listers showing up. The names included rumoured couple Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor, Bachchan family including Amitabh, Abhishek and Jaya Bachchan. Also seen at the venue was Boney Kapoor, Sanjay’s older brother. Producer and actor Anil Kapoor’s daughter Rhea was also seen at the do.

Much of the focus of the paparazzi seemed to be on the rumoured couple, actors Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor. The two, who are spotted together every once in a while, came separately for the party. Malaika looked pretty in a neon green shirt with her hair pulled back in a neat ponytail. She was seen seated in the front seat, alongside the driver. Arjun arrived separately, and was seen in his Panipat look with a handlebar moustache.

Also seen at the do were Chunky Panday and his wife Bhavna, Preity Zinta and Karan Johar.

Since March, media circles have been rift with speculation of Arjun-Malaika’s wedding, which was reportedly to take place in April this year (and now some reports say it will be in June). It was reported that the wedding would be in a church and would take place in Mumbai. However, the reports were refuted not only by the rumoured couple, but also by Arjun’s father Boney Kapoor.

Speaking to DNA on his June wedding, Arjun had said: “No, I am not. I’m 33 and you have to take my word when I say, I’m in no hurry to get married.” Earlier speaking to Bombay Times, Malaika had said: “There is no truth to these silly speculations.”
