Irrfan Khan was in Toronto, Canada, on September 10, attending a film festival in which director Meghna Gulzar’s Talvar was going to be showcased.

And although the actor was supposed to return to Lithuania to continue shooting for a new Japanese TV series, there has been a change in plans. Irrfan will now fly to India for a day and a half to promote director Sanjay Gupta’s film. The project also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who, till now, was solely shouldering the film’s promotions.
Irrfan plays a cop in the movie.
A source says, “Irrfan was given 48 hours off to attend the film festival in Toronto. He flew from Lithuania to attend it. However, he has now asked the makers of the Japanese TV show for some more time to fly to India, and promote his film with Aishwarya.”
The source further reveals that Irrfan arrived in Mumbai yesterday. “He’ll attend the promotions of the film, and fly back to Lithuania tomorrow,” says the source.
