‘It’s an honour to look like Dilip Kumar’

Rajvvir Aroraa from Movie 404 on the repercussions of sharing a resemblance with the legend.

Most people associate the digits 404 with the common ‘Error 404’ message that appears every time a server cannot be communicated with on the internet. But even though a forthcoming Bollywood film’s title shares those numbers, it has nothing to do with computers.

Movie 404 deals with the debate between science and supernatural through a relationship between a professor (Aniruddh) and a rebellious student (Abhimanyu).

And even though 26-year-old Rajvvir Aroraa, who plays the student, doesn’t believe in the paranormal, the debuting actor has already had his first experience of the uncanny. He is currently being touted for sharing a resemblance with the legendary Dilip Kumar.

"I heard it when I came to Mumbai for the first time. I was in a state of shock after that," says Aroraa, who claims the extra ‘a’ and ‘v’ in his name has no numerological influences. But he does admit he is superstitious to an extent. "I do believe in paranormal activities. But I am very different from my character, who is constantly shuttling between what is perceived and what is real," says Aroraa.
