It's Punjab calling for Ajay Devgn

Ajay is set to return to Punjab after his 2012 hit, he will shoot extensively in the northern state again; makers will retain Punjabi flavour in the film’s music and ring in flavours of the local culture.

In 2012, he had a tryst with Punjab during the shoot of Son Of Sardaar. And now, Ajay Devgn will travel to the state again for his next, to be directed by Milan Luthria, with whom he has earlier worked in films such as Kachche Dhaage (1999) and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (2010). Although talks have been rife that Ajay is going to start work on his directorial venture, we have come to know that Milan’s film is up next on Ajay’s to-do list.

Milan, who is on recce to places like Chandigarh, Malerkotla and Ludhiana, says, “Apart from music, the idea is to keep the flavour of the film authentic in a very slice-of-life manner. And for that, what’s better than getting close to people? I am doing my research,” says Milan.

Milan Luthria also directed 2011 superhit The Dirty Picture.
