Jacqueline, Katrina are in demand for award shows

Jacqueline Fernandez and Katrina Kaif are reportedly being pursued by award show organisers as they have a couple of hit songs to their credit.

Katrina Kaif’s last film, Baar Baar Dekho, might not have worked at the box office, but the remixed version of the song ‘Kala chashma’ in the film was probably one of the most played dance numbers this year. The track has become so popular that people have made their own versions on YouTube as well. Sources say that with the award seasons just around the corner, Katrina is being bombarded with requests from organisers to perform on the song.

However, the actor is facing tough competition from Jacqueline Fernandez (left), whose hit track ‘Sau tarah ke’, from Dishoom, also was a roaring chartbuster. A source says, “All songs that feature Jacqueline have been popular with the audience.

Starting with ‘Lat lag gayee’ (Race 2; 2013), ‘Chittiyaan kalaiyaan’ and ‘Sooraj dooba hain’ (Roy; 2015), and most recently, ‘Beat pe booty’ (A Flying Jatt), all her songs have been popular. Similarly, Katrina too has proved lucky for film-makers as far as her songs are concerned. Right from ‘Chikni chameli’ (Agneepath; 2012), ‘Sheila ki jawani’ (Tees Maar Khan; 2010), ‘Kamli’ (Dhoom: 3; 2013) to the most recent ‘Kala chashma’, all her songs were extremely popular.”
