Kasab’s dead, kill terrorism: Bollywood

The execution of 26/11 prime accused Ajmal Kasab on Wednesday morning created a flutter on Twitter, with Bollywood, too, voicing its opinions. The morning saw a series of tweets from actor Ashish Chowdhry, who lost his sister and nephews in the attacks.

The execution of 26/11 prime accused Ajmal Kasab on Wednesday morning created a flutter on Twitter, with Bollywood, too, voicing its opinions. The morning saw a series of tweets from actor Ashish Chowdhry, who lost his sister and nephews in the attacks.

He tweeted, “Why should I rejoice Kasab’s death? I will rejoice when li’l innocent children will stop being taught to kill in the name of God n Religion (sic).”

He added, “I sympathise with Kasab. He also was once a small innocent baby, like my son. But unfortunately born around wrong people n wrong teachings ... In these 4yrs of awaiting n lookin upon Kasab’s sentence,i can bet lacs of new Kasab’s were born. Problem lies there. Rejoice when that stops (sic).”

Actor Celina Jaitly seemed to agree with Chowdhry. “Well done govt. Of India ... however the source of the ideology of the fanatics who turn young men into terrorists is still alive... (sic).”

Others who tweeted about the hanging included actors Riteish Deshmukh, Anupam Kher, singer Kailash Kher and filmmakers Mahesh Bhatt and Madhur Bhandarkar.“
