, is being directed by debutante director Sonam Nair who has earlier assisted Ayan Mukerji on

Wake Up Sid

. The film focuses on the story about a 13 year old girl. The makers underwent extensive auditions to finalize the girl in the film. Since then, Delhi-based 13 year old Riya Vij, has been roped in to play the title role in the film.

Reportedly, a major portion of the film has already been shot in a school in Shimla while currently the film is being shot in Mumbai. Being developed on a small budget as compared to most Dharma films,

Gippy

will wrap up shooting within the next ten days.
