A day after revealing the first look of his upcoming film, Laila Majnu, on Friday a small video that is dreamy and romantic as any Imtiaz film was released.
Written by Imtiaz, Laila Majnu is a romantic film that is being directed by Sajid Ali. Ekta Kapoor is producing the film and the teaser was also attached to her latest outing, Veere Di Wedding, which hit the screens on Friday. The 56 second long video shows two lovers in the beautiful hillside locales as they discuss their love for each other. Sharing the teaser, Ekta Kapoor wrote on Twittter, “Pyaar mein pagal’ We often wonder wat it is to become crazy in love. Laila Majnu is exactly dat. A new take on d legendary love story by Imtiaz Ali & film written & directed by #SajidAli, here’s presenting d #LailaMajnuTeaser Releasing on 24th Aug 18 @RuchikaaKapoor #PreetyAli”
The film is said to be a modern day re-telling of the classic love story of Laila-Majnu. “Laila Majnu is an eternal story of everlasting love. It’s perhaps the most popular love story of all times. For the film we wanted a fresh approach in all aspects -- a fresh cast, a fresh script and a fresh setting. We had a great experience making the film and can’t wait to showcase it to the world.” Imtiaz Ali said in a press statement.
