Talk about innovative study methods — management students at Aryans Business School, in Chandigarh, were shown select Bollywood films as part of their lessons. Films such as 3 Idiots, Chak De! India, Lakshya, Corporate, Guru, Swades, Taare Zameen Par and Iqbal were screened for over 300 B-school students.

Authorities are all too keen on this cool new syllabus. “These films have been taken up as case studies to analyse strategy, motivation, determination, ambition, time and stress management. The also teach students the difference between organisational goal versus individual goals. They can help them to become effective leaders,” says chairman Anshu Kataria.
But, it wasn’t all about munching popcorn. Students were given a preview before the screening of important extracts of the movies. After the movies were screened, students were asked to prepare a case study of the different aspects they are assigned. We’re sure Aamir Khan would be pleased!
