He has worked with international glam divas like Eva Mendes, Emily Blunt and Tyra Banks. Now, renowned make-up artist Jeffrey Paul is set to work his magic on Mallika Sherawat. But the ‘glam touch’ is likely to set the producers back by a whopping Rs 60 lakh.

The story goes like this: When makers of Kismat Love Paisa Dilli (KLPD), starring Vivek Oberoi, were brainstorming about Mallika’s make-up person, she suggested Jeffrey’s name. The actor shares a comfort level with Jeffrey as he had done her make-up for her red carpet appearance at this year’s Academy Awards.

Later, when producer Amit Chandrra of Invincible Entertainment looked at the Oscar pictures, he too was impressed with Jeffrey’s work. Immediately, the production house got in touch with him in the US.

MallikaInsiders from the unit inform that the film will be shot in a three-month-long start-to-finish schedule, with Mallika shooting for about two months. And since Jeffrey charges around a lakh per day, his expertise will cost the production house Rs 60 lakh.

When contacted, Chandrra confirms: “Yes, we have discussed things with Jeffrey. Everything is finalized, including the money. But we are trying to work out his dates since he is a busy man in Hollywood.”

Ask Chandrra if Jeffrey is charging Rs 60 lakh and he laughs, “I can’t talk figures but yes, it’s a very high amount. And since we are putting in a lot of hard work, why hold back in any department? I am sure the results will be superb.”

Incidentally, Hollywood technicians too are being roped in for high-octane action and stunt sequences to be shot for the film.
