Nargis Fakhri to shoot a Maharashtrian folk dance for Banjo

Nargis Fakhri will be seen in a traditional avatar in a song and will perform a lavani number for her upcoming movie Banjo.

The actor will sport a nauvari (a style of sari draping intrinsic to Maharashtrian women), and will be seen performing lavani (Maharashtrian folk dance) in the song. Since this is Nargis’ maiden attempt at a traditional dance performance, she had to prepare a lot for it.

“It was quite challenging yet interesting, since the dance involves different body movements and striking expressions. I had to learn the steps and nuances correctly,” says the actor.
