Neha Dhupia says she got more what-the-hell messages after wedding to Angad Bedi than congratulations

Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi married in a private ceremony in Delhi. They went to America for some charity work after it.

Bollywood actors Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi tied the knot at a private ceremony on May 10, earlier this year. It came as a pleasant surprise for her fans as they didn’t have any inkling that the couple was dating and a wedding was in the works. Now, in a conversation with Filmfare, Neha has said that she was amused to see her fans’ reactions.

She said that she got 600 messages after her wedding and most of them were “what the f**k!” instead of congratulations”. Explaining why they decided to go in for a surprise wedding, she added, “Yes, it was a surprise to a lot of people. But Angad (Bedi) was clear from the beginning. He said, ‘You’re not someone with whom I want to be in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. So, either we turn this into marriage or we continue being just friends.’ I don’t believe it was hush-hush or secret as much as it was private. Both of us are private people.”

She further said, “I’m going to try and protect my personal life as much as I can. By that I don’t mean dissing completely what’s in the public eye. We just wish to control the amount of information we want to let out about our private lives.”
