No love lost over Guzaarish bedroom scene

The buzz is that the Bachchans have strong objections to an erotic lovemaking scene in Guzaarish and have apparently asked director Sanjay Leela Bhansali to cut it out.

Four years ago, speculation was rife that the Bachchans had walked out of a preview show of Dhoom 2 at Yashraj Studio, seething. They didn’t care for their bahu-to-be’s ‘hot’ new look and were definitely unhappy about Aishwarya Rai’s sizzling lip-lock with Hrithik Roshan.



Cut to 2010, and another Aishwarya-Hrithik movie. The buzz is that the Bachchans have strong objections to an erotic lovemaking scene in Guzaarish and have apparently asked director Sanjay Leela Bhansali to cut it out. Siddharth Roy-Kapur of UTV, co-producer of the film, refutes the rumours saying, "Guzaarish has received a U/A rating from the censor board with no cuts. Sanjay has been complimented on making a sensitive and entertaining film. No family watching it will have reservations about any of the content."

The ‘objectionable’ scene in fact has been cut as a promo. It unfolds with Aishwarya, who plays a nurse to Hrithik, magician Ethan, paralysed for the last 14 years after a trick went wrong. Sofia is massaging his legs and Ethan rags her saying it’s a wonderful feeling getting his bum rubbed by a beautiful woman.



Sofia’s prissy "only your feet sir" doesn’t stop him from making more comments that are made to give her the blushes. He continues to tease her, insisting that it’s a scene straight out of a sexy English movie.
