His second film as the central character, Faltu, releases on April 1. But, as the trade jokes’ suggestions, Jackky Bhagnani won’t be labelled a ‘faltu’ regardless of the outcome of the project on the box office.
The actor has already been signed on for two movies: one by director-choreographer Remo D’Souza, also the choreographer-director of Faltu, and the other by south-based filmmaker Roshan Andrews, to be produced by daddy Vashu.
“Remo is happy with my work. So he’s repeating me. His film is based on a true story. It’s too early to divulge other details. Whether my dad finances this film for Remo or not remains between them,” says Bhagnani.
"Roshan’s film is a bilingual thriller. I’m only doing the Hindi version, and that’s our next home-production." The actor shrugs off the trade joke about Faltu and his career too: "I’ve no problems if I’m causing a wave in the industry already. It’s horrible if no one speaks about your film."

Coincidentally, his second outing as an actor releases at a time when the footfall is among the lowest in cinema halls, during the last leg of the ICC World Cup matches. The multiplex owners were on strike around the time his debut, Kal Kissne Dekha, released. “Most of team India’s matches are falling on weekends. What about the balance days?” he reasons.
“Unlike my last film, this time I’ll only be hit on one day by cricket. Technically, my film isn’t releasing in the middle of the tournament. So, I’m chilled out.” According to recent reports, Bhagnani is discreetly dating his Faltu leading lady Puja Gupta. It seems the couple dump beer bottles outsider her place, which has caused an outcry among the building’s other residents. “I’m not seeing Puja or any other girl at present,” he clarifies.
