Preity Zinta blessed to get Big B’s support

Preity Zinta’s film Ishkq In Paris is receiving support from ‘legendary’ quarters. Amitabh Bachchan’s association with Preity goes back to her days as a newbie on the sets of Soldier (1998).

Preity Zinta’s film Ishkq In Paris is receiving support from ‘legendary’ quarters. Amitabh Bachchan’s association with Preity goes back to her days as a newbie on the sets of Soldier (1998). Though not a part of the film, he had sent Preity a handwritten letter upon its release.

To date, prior to the release of any of the actor’s films, he makes it a point to send her a message and congratulate her. He continued the tradition at a party hosted by François Richier, the French ambassador, for actor Isabelle Adjani, who will be seen in Preity’s film.

Amitabh attended the event and said he will support the actor. Later he wrote on his blog: “It’s a quiet dignified evening, and because I am fond of Preity, I go along for precisely 10 minutes, to wish her and her guest (sic).”

Preity too is elated. She says, “I was happy he came. I’m close to the Bachchan clan — Jaya aunty, Abhishek and Aishwarya, and feel blessed to get such love and support.”
