Bharat, which also stars Salman Khan in the lead role, will be Priyanka’s first Hindi film in three years after 2015’s Bajirao Mastani. “[Bharat] is the Indian movie I signed this year. It’s the quintessential Bollywood movie, which I haven’t done in many years. A lot of them were dramatic and thematic. This one’s going to be out and out entertainment. I’m excited! I haven’t been back to do a movie in two or three years now,” she told the magazine.

Even Ali called his film an ‘entertainer’. “Though it’s too early to talk about the film and even Ali didn’t want to divulge much details, he shared, “I’m very excited about the film. It’s a wholesome entertainer, which usually people like to watch when they come for a Salman Khan film. It has a festive colour and people have reacted very positively to the title of the film. So, we are hopeful that we are going to put our best foot forward in terms of our efforts to entertain audience next year,” he had said.

In her interview with Esquire, Priyanka was also asked about Bollywood and how it was stereotyped for its song and dance sequences. She said Bollywood includes subsets of several genres and while music plays a big part in the movies, there isn’t a dance routine in every film.“Every country and every culture has its stereotype, I get that. Here, everyone has superpowers and aliens only land in America. I just really want Indian cinema to break through that and for people to be introduced to the other forms of Indian cinema we have,” she said.

Quantico season 3 premiered on Thursday on ABC Network. Priyanka will now be seen in supporting roles in A Kid Like Jake and Isn’t It Romantic?
