Priyanka Chopra crosses 40 million followers on Instagram, says ‘I hope it always stays’

Actor Priyanka Chopra crossed 40 million followers on Instagram. Her closest competitors are Deepika Padukone at 35 million and Alia Bhatt at 33 million.

Actor Priyanka Chopra is riding high on popularity across the globe and has now added another feather to her cap. The actor has crossed 40 million followers on Instagram, the highest for a Bollywood actor. Priyanka shared a heartfelt message for her fans in a video on her Instagram stories.

Thanking her fans for following her on the social networking site, Priyanka said, “Oh My God! 40 million. Its amazing. I still remember the day when I joined Instagram. One by one, all of you have been part of such an amazing journey for me.I am really touched and extremely moved. I love you all and thank you for all your support all my life. I hope it always stays.”

Priyanka also shared a short video to share her excitement with the caption, “Biiiiiigggg shoutout to my #InstaFam!!! You guys have my heart! Sending love and hugs to each one of you for being a part of my journey! #ILoveYouAll #40MillionStrong #PCManiacs.”

 

While Priyanka tops with a 40 million, her Bajirao Mastani co-star is her closest competitor with 35 million followers. Raazi actor Alia Bhatt stands third at 33 million. Meanwhile, Priyanka’s husband Nick Jonas has 23.9 million followers and sister-in-law and Games of Thrones star Sophie Turner has 12.4 million followers.

Priyanka will next be seen in Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink which also stars her Dil Dhadakne Do co-star Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim of Dangal fame. She has also signed a Hollywood film with Mindy Kaling which will revolved around a big fat Indian wedding. The actor was last seen in Hollywood film Isn’t It Romantic in a prominent role and made a striking appearance in Jonas Brothers’ new single, Sucker.
