Ranveer Singh inspires Vivek Oberoi?

Vivek Oberoi’s character in KLPD apparently has traits of Ranveer Singh’s Bittoo from Band Baaja Baaraat.

Remember Ranveer Singh’s happy-go-lucky Delhi boy act in Band Baaja Baaraat (BBB)? Now, Vivek Oberoi, who is shooting for Kismat Luv Paisa Dilli (KLPD), is apparently playing a role that has traits of Bittoo Sharma (character played by Ranveer in BBB) in it.

An insider informs that the look of his character also borrows a little from Shah Rukh Khan’s north Indian avatar in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008).

When contacted, producer Amit Chandrra says, “Vivek plays a-23-year-old middle class Punjabi boy, but I cannot reveal details about his character at this point.”

So in order to look the part, the actor has started observing and fraternising with young assistant directors on the sets. According to the 30-plus actor, he believes the best way to play a young character is to imbibe the behaviour of actual young people.

“Today’s youngsters are very sorted in their heads and are sure of what they want in life. So working on the film has itself been a learning experience,” says Vivek.

Thanks to a strong north Indian connect, Chandrra has sealed a deal with Krishan Chaudhery of Delhi-based Shristhi Cine Entertainment, wherein the latter has decided to come on as the co-financier of the film.

Apparently, Chaudhery runs a construction business and a multi-cuisine restaurant franchise in Delhi.

Meanwhile, Vivek is finding it tough to get into the skin of the character especially since he has very little time.

The actor has been busy managing his schedules between working on Rakesh Roshan’s Krissh 3 and Anand Kumar’s Zilla Ghaziabad, in which he plays a mid-30-year-old gangster.
