Deep pocket producers of Bollywood know how to recover money pumped into a product. Yash Raj Films made sure that their latest film Befikre, starring Ranveer Singh and Vani Kapoor, also the directorial comeback of its chief Aditya Chopra, gets a wide release. That was the first step towards getting a fat return on its investment of approximately Rs 70 crore.

It seems the gamble has paid off. Befikre, which was released on 2100 screens in the domestic market, earned Rs 10.36 crore on its opening day. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the business figures of the film on its first day in theatres.
Befikre is about two carefree youngsters, played by Ranveer and Vaani, who meet in Paris and start dating each other.
