“I’ve kept my Oscar in a bank vault ... I’m assured it is safe. But if in future I’ll be unable to care for my trophy, I may have to return it,” he told tabloid Mid Day. Costume designer Bhanu Athaiya has in the meanwhile returned her Academy Award last week.
