His last movie Himmatwala was an epic flop. Sajid Khan is now back with his three-triple-roles comedy Humshakals featuring Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Ram Kapoor.
Yeh toh slapstick comedy hai, declare the three characters as they slap each other apparently for no reason, towards the end of the trailer.
As Saif, Riteish and Ram meet their humshakals, not one but two each, there is confusion all around, but little entertainment. We are expected to laugh when the woman avatars of the three actors try to seduce their male avatars.
Humshakals is reportedly inspired by cult film Angoor. While Angoor didn't try hard to tickle our funny bone, this one does and fails. We'll still wait for the movie to expect the unexpected.
The film features Bipasha Basu, Esha Gupta and Tamannaah as the female leads. Women in the movie however are not more than decoration piece. They will probably make news for their bikinis.
Produced by Vashu Bhagnani and presented by Fox Star Studios, the movie will release on June 20.
