Sanjay Gupta tries his hands at comedy

Known for dark, edgy thrillers like Kaante (2002), Musafir (2004) and Zinda (2006), filmmaker Sanjay Gupta is set to change gears. Gupta plans to produce a comedy written by Milap Zaveri.

Having directed films like Kaante (2002), Musafir (2004) and Zinda (2006), Sanjay Gupta is known for dark, edgy thrillers.

But now, the film-maker is set to change gears.

For the first time, he is going to produce an out-and-out comedy.

Writer-director Milap Zaveri, who wrote the dialogue for Gupta’s Shootout At Wadala, will direct a film titled Ooh La La for the latter’s production house.

"It’s going to be a very clean comic film, which will have three heroes and two heroines. There won’t be any double meaning or cheap thrills," says
