Shaandaar opened magnificently on Dussehra but the Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor-starrer has failed to sustain the tempo. Director Vikas Bahl’s film after the spectacular Queen has received bad to mixed reviews.
The film opened at Rs 13.10 crore on Thursday, giving Shahid his best opening day ever. However, the film’s collections plummeted drastically on day 2, earning Rs 7.55 crore on Friday.
With the theme of a destination wedding, Shaandaar has earned over Rs 20 crore. The film also stars Pankaj Kapur, Sanjay Kapoor and Sushma Seth.
