Shilpa pays tribute to Modi, launches BJP logo engraved gold coins

Actor Shilpa Shetty is overjoyed with the landslide ­victory of the BJP at the Lok Sabha polls, and believes that Narendra Modi is the apt choice as the prime minister of the country. She added that it goes to show that people of India are looking for a positive change.

Actor is overjoyed with the landslide ­victory of the BJP at the Lok Sabha polls.

The actor believes that Narendra Modi is the apt choice as the prime minister of the ­country.

“I congratulate Mr Modi and BJP for winning by such a huge margin," said the actor.

"It goes to show that people of India are looking for a positive change and I just hope and pray the new government can make India a safer and better place, focusing ­especially on employment, education, medical, safety and infrastructure among other things,” she added.

Shilpa also launched new gold coins engraved with the ­party’s logo at her stores, as a tribute to the new prime minister.
