Siddhanth Kapoor: I don’t like to be out there in public if I am not doing a film

Actor Siddhanth Kapoor says he deliberately keeps a low profile when he is not working actively on a project and that he loves his personal space, away from media and fan frenzy.

Siddhanth Kapoor, son of senior actor Shakti Kapoor has been around for quite some time now but unfortunately hasn’t been able to get the same recognition like his father or sister, Shraddha Kapoor. However, the actor says that every actor has his own journey and it’s unfair to draw constant comparisons.“I believe I have my own journey, which has taken off very well, so I have no complaints. Whether it’s about the kind of stuff that I did in the past or what I am doing currently, there is nothing that you can call absolutely cliché stuff, so I’m pretty happy,” says Siddhanth.

The 32-year-old actor, who made his acting debut as a child star in the 1997 film Judwaa, which also featured his father in a comedy role, later entered films in 2003 with Shootout at Wadala. He acted in two more films including Ugly (2014) and Jazbaa (2015) but wasn’t ever considered being a mainstream lead actor.

Siddhanth will portray the role of an underworld don in his next film, Haseena Parkar , which many feel is his debut film. Addressing such reports, Siddhanth shares that he believes in keeping a low profile and not go all out talking about himself all the time. “I don’t really like to be there, out in the media, if I am not working or doing a film. It’s unnecessary. I like my work to do the talking, so I am going easy, I am choosing different roles compared to other actors.”

The actor adds that he’s rather happy to have his own space, away from media and fan frenzy. “I don’t really care about what people would think about me for not being seen much. I know that audience want to see more of me on-screen, especially when critics have already spoken such amazing things about my small -yet- significant roles in the past. So for me, it’s a step by step thing while taking my game up,” adds Siddhanth.
