Sonakshi dropped from Milan Talkies?

The latest buzz is that Sonakshi Sinha has been dropped from Ekta Kapoor's next film, Milan Talkies, opposite Imran Khan. The reason cited for this is that Sonakshi refused to shed her Indian avatar for the film.

Sonakshi Sinha has been portrayed as the quintessential small town girl in her previous movies, Dabangg and Rowdy Rathore.

If this news is true, then Sonakshi Sinha’s sartorial sensibilities would have costed her a film. As reported by Mid Day, the buzz is that Sonakshi has been dropped from Ekta Kapoor’s film Milan Talkies. The reason being extrapolated is that the actress refused to let go of her Indian avatar for her character in the film.

A source told Mid Day, “Sona was said to be cast opposite Imran Khan. However, she was dropped because she was not comfortable to get out of her Indian look.” Tarun Garg, CEO of Ekta’s production house however maintains, “The female lead for the film was never finalised. In fact apart from Imran, the casting is still in progress. The film will start early next year.”
