Sonam Kapoor has watched Janhvi Kapoor’s Dhadak and here is what she thought about her performance.

Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter must be so nervous about the reaction their debut film, Dhadak, will get from viewers and critics. However, Sonam Kapoor is here to calm their nerves.

Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter are making their big Bollywood debut with Dhadak.

The actor is one of the few people who got to watch the film a week before its release and has only the best things to say about it. She praised her young cousin’s work and thought Ishaan’s performance was magnificent. “What a stunning debut @janhvikapoor so so proud! Moved beyond words. @ishaankhattar you are magnificent. And this is all thanks to @ShashankKhaitan who has brilliantly captured their innocence, vulnerability and strength! Stunned!!!!!!,” she wrote in a tweet. She also posted the same message on her Instagram stories.

He also wrote a long post for Janhvi a day before the trailer launch. “Tomorrow you will be part of the audience forever #JanhviKapoor cause your trailer comes out... Firstly, sorry I’m not there in Mumbai but I’m by your side, don’t worry. I just wanted you to know this profession is amazing if you work hard, be honest, learn to take the accolades with the brickbats, respect opinions, yet follow your own path & instinct. It’s not gonna be easy but I know you are ready for all the madness that will ensue. All the best for #Dhadak! I’m certain that my friends @ShashankKhaitan & @karanjohar have presented you & #IshaanKhatter as the modern Romeo & Juliet with elan,” he said in a string of tweets.

In Dhadak, Janhvi and Ishaan play two small town kids from Udaipur who fall in love. However, their families are against their union, which drives them away from their homes. It is an official remake of Marathi hit film, Sairat.

The film releases on July 20.
