“It (the age factor) did cross my mind, but the role was such that it didn’t put either of us in an awkward situation,” says

Sonakshi

, adding, “It was an honour to share screen space with him.”

While Sonakshi may be a newcomer in the south, she has already been part of several Hindi films that were remakes of south hits including Dabanng (2010), Rowdy Rathore (2012), Son Of Sardaar (2012), and Holiday. Also, four of her projects so far have been with film-makers from the south industries, including AR Murugadoss and Prabhudheva.

Hence, the actor reveals that working on a Tamil film was not so difficult, barring the language barrier. “After working in so many remakes of southern films, I’ve developed a sense of familiarity with the way things function there. The only challenge was to speak a language I don’t know, and looking convincing conversing in it,” she says.
