The onscreen gangsters of Wasseypur town say their film is “real, but in disguise”. Actors Manoj Bajpayee, Richa Chadda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Reema Sen

visited the HT House on Tuesday and talked about the film and much more.

“The movie is real but is disguised at the same time. The concept is quite interesting as the events are real and most of their information is from newspaper cuttings,” says Chadda, one of the female leads in the flick.

One of the most interesting things about the film are the punchlines used in the script as well as in the posters. “It’s just cinema influence. My character is based in a small town, where children are quite influenced by Hindi films. We tried to model these characters keeping all this in mind,” says Bajpayee, who will be seen playing the role of mafia Sardar Khan in the film.

Commenting on the poster tagline ‘teri keh ke lunga’, Sen clarifies, “I’d also like to make it clear that with the dialogues, a lot of people are asking about the tag line, which is not at all offensive or with double meaning. It means ‘I’ll stab you in the chest than hitting you from the back.”’
