The last one year has changed me as a person: Ranveer Singh

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh says he feels settled in his personal and professional life now; adds that the evolution for him has been “very organic”.

Think of Ranveer Singh and what comes to your mind is the image of a star who is always high on energy. However, the actor says that he has changed since his Bollywood debut in 2010.

Though he’s still a happy-go-lucky person, he admits to having become calmer and maturer over time. But, after being a star who is known for being hyperactive, does he feel that a certain aspect of his personality is slipping away? “Not at all,” says Ranveer, adding, “When you spend time working, and when people get to know you better, they discover new facets of your personality. I’m mostly the same. Yes, I have evolved as a person. But that’s natural; it happens to everybody.”

The actor looks at his evolution as a welcome change. “I think the transformation has happened only in the past year, while playing the lead character in Bajirao Mastani (his next). Many actors say that the character has changed me. I feel that devoting over a year of your life to just one thing, with single-minded focus, and going through a lot of difficulties while shooting, and simultaneously facing problems on the personal front (he suffered injuries while shooting), have contributed to my evolution. It has been very organic,” says Ranveer.
