Amber Rose Revah is all excited about her first Bollywood movie, the neo-patriotic Azaan.

She took a wild ride with John Travolta and Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the crime thriller, From Paris With Love last year. And this year, Amber Rose Revah is all excited about her first Bollywood movie, the neo-patriotic Azaan.

Actor Sachin Joshi had been finalised for the title role in the film, and the director Prashant Chadha, was on the lookout for an actor who could play his brother’s girlfriend. “I was sitting with Alyy Khan from Traitor and A Mighty Heart and she suggested Amber’s name, having worked with her earlier. I recalled seeing her in From Paris With Love and her exotic Middle-Eastern looks made her apt for the part. So I sent across the script and she jumped on board,” reminisces Chadha.

He took Amber with him for a schedule in Poland and to his delight, he discovered that it was a homecoming of sorts for her. “She is half Polish. Though she hasn’t done any Polish films, she speaks the language like a native. Krakow is her mother’s home town and some of the production guys recognised her,” he smiles.

More recently, the actor was in India and travelled to Goa and Pondicherry. “I’ll be back soon,” she promises, already hooked on Indian food and movies. “I saw Devdas (2002) last year and have fallen in love with Bollywood and its multi-talented stars, in particular Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan,” she enthuses, already looking forward to another Bollywood movie.
