Bollywood actor Vaani Kapoor, best remembered as the free-spirited girl from Befikre (2016), has done only two Hindi films in five years — her debut was with Shuddh Desi Romance (2013). In between, she acted in a Telegu film, Aaha Kalyanam (2014). Vaani has no qualms about this tiny number, saying that each actor must find their own path.
Stating that she’s fine being where she is, Vaani says, “I feel like every actor charts a different course in their respective career in the industry. Everyone has an individual journey. So, you can’t compare one to another. I made my own choices and stuck to them. I’m proud of the choices I made. I am happy and content about it.”
Her choices have brought her to a good place. The actor has recently signed two films — one starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff; and another, Shamshera, starring Ranbir Kapoor. “It has taken time for the projects that I wanted to be a part of to come my way,” says Vaani, “but I’m in a very happy space now. I am relaxed enough.”
She has started the prep work for both the films and is really looking forward to begin shooting. “I have to put in a lot of hard work and train very hard. The shooting of Shamshera will begin after I finish the film with Hrithik and Tiger,” says the actor.

{{/usCountry}}The reason for all this “hard work” is that these two projects are a departure from her past films. The previous films that Vaani has done were romantic, while her next two projects are said to be action flicks. Is she looking forward to exploring this area? “Well, I’ll not be doing as hardcore action as a Hrithik or a Tiger, but I can assure you that it’s something audiences will be amazed to watch,” replies Vaani. “This movie is a much awaited project for me as well as for the audience. It’s going to be one of the biggest action films one has seen. Both the projects are exciting in their own ways.”
