A number of celebrities turned up for the opening ceremony of the 14th edition of the Mumbai Film Festival at a south Mumbai venue on Thursday.
The event kick-started with the screening of Silver Linings Playbook, starring Anupam Kher, and was attended by his wife Kirron and son Sikander, actors Jaya Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Sridevi, who came with hubby, filmmaker Boney Kapoor and daughter Jahnvi, and filmmakers Dibakar Banerjee, Ashutosh Gowariker, R Balki and Gauri Shinde. Also seen were industrialist Anil Ambani with wife Tina, who gave a lifetime achievement award to Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou. The festival will go on till Oct 25.
