Following the instructions of your director to the tee is not always a good idea. Priyanka Chopra realised this only after she lost her voice after screaming at the top of her voice for a scene.
The actress was shooting for Saat Khoon Maaf when she was asked by director Vishal Bhardwaj to scream very loud.
A source tells Mumbai Mirror, "Priyanka had to act as a member of the audience in a concert which was being shot. The scene required her to enjoy the concert and scream very loud, louder than everybody else in the audience. That scream had to stand out."
Vishal apparently asked for a few retakes, and Priyanka complied. "After Vishal approved of the scene, Priyanka realised that her throat was not all that good."
She could realise the after-effect of scream only the next morning. The actress was shocked to find her voice gone. She tried treating it frantically by drinking hot water but nothing was helping. She rushed to a doctor then.
