Why ‘Radhika Apte sex scene’ and not ‘Adil Hussain sex scene’: Co-star asks
After actor Radhika Apte’s sex scenes from her upcoming film Parched were leaked online, her co-star Adil Hussain has come out in her support.
After a sex scene from her upcoming film, Parched, was leaked online, Radhika Apte’s co-actor from the movie has come to her support. Adil Hussain had all the right questions when he asked why people are calling it a ‘Radhika Apte sex scene’ and not an ‘Adil Hussain sex scene’, considering both had the same amount of role to play in it.
The said scene was leaked a few days ago and showed Adil and Radhika making love. It has not yet been identified as to who leaked the scene on to the internet.
In an interview with the Indian Express, Adil said, “The most interesting aspect is that the leaked videos is titled as Radhika Apte sex scene and not as Adil Hussain sex scene. That’s because a man doing it is just another matter whereas when a woman does it, it does matter. It is only then when it becomes a sex scene. It also shows the patriarchal society that we live in. In the West, such scenes are normally shown in their films.”

Adil is angry at how none of the other scenes from the movie were leaked but only the sex scene. “It shows how sexually obsessed a lot of people in our society are,” he says.
Parched is a film by Leena Yadav and was premiered at the 2015 International Toroto Film Festival. It tells the story of four women, a wife, a mother, a daughter and prostitute, living the worst lives somewhere in the most remote parts of Rajasthan. They decide to one day leave their homes and run free to claim their own lives. It also star Surveen Chawla.
