RK Pachauri’s debut novel Return to Almora has nothing to do with climate change. At the launch of the book in the capital, the author explained that all can’t be explained by science and asking the right questions is the way to a fulfilling existence. Thus, a novel about ‘past lives’. Pachauri confessed that much of the novel was written on flights — with tears rolling down his cheeks. A climactic change, indeed.
