In Gawande’s short stories, a simple checklist in the world of medicine helps cut down on infections during surgery and pilots handle aircrafts better.

However, his elaborate writing gets repetitive as he over-emphasises the importance of a checklist. Sad, because his stories were impressive enough to drive home the message.
