Author Dan Brown is turning screenplay writer for the movie adaptation of his latest book

The Lost Symbol
, which continues symbologist Robert Langdon’s adventure.
The best-selling author of
Da Vinci Code

is rewriting the screenplay based on his book for Columbia, which is developing the film version of the recent novel, the Hollywood Reporter said. Published in 2009, the book tells how Langdon gets mixed up with the Freemasons in Washington, DC.
